Ship & forward
Asdbuy shipping and transshipment, explained
Asdbuy does two shipping jobs. It can buy an item for you and send it on, and it can act as a forwarder (transshipment) for parcels you already bought yourself. This guide explains both, plus consolidation, freight estimates and the weight basics — so you know what to verify before you send anything. It never quotes live prices; always confirm current fees and shipping lines on the official Asdbuy site.
Two ways in
Buy-for-me and transshipment are different starting points
The risk here is picking the wrong flow and paying twice for shipping into China. Match your situation to the right lane first.
You have a link, Asdbuy buys it
You paste a product link (for example, a find from the spreadsheet) into Asdbuy. Asdbuy pays the Chinese seller, receives the item in its warehouse, shows you photos, then forwards it to your country when you are ready. This is the normal spreadsheet-to-door flow.
Mistake to avoid: assuming the item ships straight from the seller — it goes through the warehouse first, which is also where a grade check happens.
You already bought it yourself
You ordered from a Chinese seller directly, to an Asdbuy warehouse address inside China. Asdbuy receives those parcels, can consolidate them, and forwards them abroad. Useful when you buy on marketplaces yourself but still want one reliable exit route.
Mistake to avoid: shipping to the wrong warehouse address or forgetting to declare the parcel, so Asdbuy can't match it to your account.
Step by step
How transshipment forwarding works
Forwarding looks complex, but it is a short, repeatable sequence. Read it once so nothing surprises you at the warehouse stage.
Get your Asdbuy warehouse address
Create an account and copy the China warehouse address and any parcel note or code Asdbuy gives you. You will use it as the delivery address for your own orders.
Buy from the Chinese seller and ship in-country
Order from Taobao, 1688, Xianyu or Weidian yourself and send the parcel to that warehouse address. Keep your order details so support can match it to you.
Asdbuy receives and logs each parcel
When your items arrive, they are checked in against your account and appear in your package list. This is the moment to confirm the right things turned up.
Consolidate (optional)
If you have several parcels waiting, you can ask to combine them into one outbound shipment before it leaves China.
Review the freight estimate and pick a route
Check the estimated freight for your destination and the available shipping options, then decide before you pay. Do not skip this step.
Pay and track it worldwide
Once you confirm, Asdbuy forwards the shipment abroad and you follow it with the tracking provided. Import taxes may still apply on arrival.
Estimate before you ship
Use the Freight Estimation tool first
The risk is committing to a shipment and only then discovering the freight is higher than expected. Asdbuy shows a freight estimate before you send a parcel out, so you can plan.
What the estimate is for
It gives you a sense of shipping cost by destination and parcel size before you commit, so there are fewer surprises at checkout.
Check it every time
Rates and available routes move with weight, destination and season. Re-check the estimate for the specific parcel you are about to send.
It is an estimate
Treat the figure as a guide, not a final invoice. The confirmed cost — and any duties — is what you settle on the official site.
Mistake to avoid: reading an estimate once and assuming it holds for a much heavier or bulkier parcel later. This guide can't quote numbers; the live tool can.
One box, not five
Consolidation can reduce the number of parcels
Shipping several small parcels separately usually means paying for shipping several times. Consolidation is the step that addresses this.
Combine waiting parcels into one shipment
When multiple orders land in the warehouse, Asdbuy can pack them together so they leave China as a single outbound parcel instead of several. Fewer shipments can mean fewer separate freight charges and one tracking number to follow.
Waiting vs. saving
Consolidating means waiting until your items have all arrived. Larger combined boxes are also measured by size as well as weight (see below). Balance the potential saving against how soon you need everything.
Mistake to avoid: combining fragile or oddly shaped items without checking how that affects packing and measured weight.
How parcels are measured
Actual weight vs. volumetric (dimensional) weight
A light but bulky parcel can still cost like a heavy one. Knowing why helps you understand a freight estimate instead of being surprised by it.
Actual weight
Exactly what it sounds like: how heavy the packed parcel is on the scale. Dense, small items are usually billed on this.
Volumetric weight
A figure worked out from the box's length, width and height using a divisor the carrier sets. It captures how much space a parcel takes on the plane.
Whichever is greater
Carriers generally bill on the larger of the two. That is why a puffy jacket or a big-but-light haul can cost more than its scale weight suggests.
Mistake to avoid: guessing freight from scale weight alone. Exact divisors and rates differ by carrier and route, so let the live estimate do the maths — this guide won't invent a rate.
Routes change
Shipping options vary by country and change over time
The risk is planning around a route that isn't available to your country this month. Available shipping options depend on your destination and can be added, paused or repriced.
Why we don't name specific lines here: which carriers and channels reach your country — and what they cost — shift with customs rules, capacity and season. Naming a route or price in a static guide would go stale and could mislead you. Check the options shown for your destination at checkout.
Mistake to avoid: assuming a friend's route or last order's carrier is still offered for your address. Confirm the current list on Asdbuy before you send a parcel.
Time-sensitive
The 2026 EU tax change for small parcels
If you ship to the EU, a rule change affects the tax on low-value parcels. It is dated, so treat the details below as a starting point and confirm the live position before you send.
Time-sensitive — confirm on the official site. From 1 July 2026, the EU is removing the duty exemption that used to apply to parcels valued under €150. In its place, a temporary fixed duty (reported at roughly a few euros per product category, per shipment) can apply and may add up across categories in the same parcel. Alongside this, some EMS/EUB delivery channels into certain EU countries were temporarily suspended.
Exact figures, which channels are affected and how it lands for your country can change. Verify current fees and routes on Asdbuy before shipping. Read the full update →
Before you send
Restricted items, customs and delivery times
Some things can't be mailed, and even permitted parcels move at the pace of customs. Knowing this up front avoids held or returned shipments.
Not everything can ship
Batteries, liquids, powders, flammables and certain regulated goods often face limits or bans on international routes, and rules differ by destination and carrier. If you are unsure whether an item can be forwarded, ask Asdbuy support before you buy it.
Mistake to avoid: ordering a restricted item first and hoping it ships later. Check first, then buy.
Delivery times can vary
Transit times are estimates, not promises. Customs inspection, local holidays, weather and carrier capacity can all add delay, and import taxes may be charged on arrival in your country. Build in a buffer and don't plan a hard deadline around a single parcel.
Mistake to avoid: treating an estimated arrival window as guaranteed. Confirm current handling and duty details on the official site.
